Settings

Configure your Sudoku experience to match your preferences.

Accessing Settings

Click the gear icon in the navigation bar to open the settings panel.

Display Settings

Show Timer

Toggle the timer visibility:

  • On: See your solve time while playing
  • Off: Solve without time pressure

Show Mistake Counter

Display the number of mistakes you've made during the current game. When enabled, you can also set a mistake limit that ends the game after a certain number of errors.

Show Progress

Shows a percentage indicating how much of the puzzle you've completed.

Board Size

Adjust how large the Sudoku board appears:

  • Choose from extra small to extra large
  • Useful for different screen sizes and preferences

Controls Position

Choose which side of the board the number pad appears on (left or right).

Celebration

Select the animation that plays when you complete a puzzle:

  • Explosion, fireworks, cannons, stars, flowers, numbers, or minimal

Highlighting

Highlight Related Cells

When you select a cell, highlights all cells in the same row, column, and 3×3 box.

Highlight Same Number

When you select a cell containing a number, all other cells with the same digit are highlighted.

Show Errors

Immediately highlights cells in red when you enter a conflicting number. Turn this off for a more challenging experience.

Limits

Hint Limit

Restrict the number of hints you can use per game. Helps build solving skills without relying on assistance.

Assistance

Validate Guesses

Instantly checks if your entry matches the solution. Incorrect guesses are counted as mistakes.

Auto Candidates

Automatically displays small candidate numbers in empty cells, showing all possible values based on the current puzzle state.

Auto-Remove Notes

When you place a number, automatically removes that candidate from notes in all related cells.

Theme

Theme Selection

Choose from our collection of preset themes or create a custom theme:

  • Filter by light, dark, or favorites
  • Search themes by name
  • Mark favorites for quick access

Randomize Theme

After completing a puzzle, automatically switch to a random theme based on your preference:

  • Off, on, favorites only, light only, dark only, or auto

Appearance

Border Settings

Adjust the visibility and thickness of grid lines:

  • Border intensity: How prominent the thick grid lines appear
  • Exterior border: Width of the outer border and box separators
  • Interior border: Width of lines between cells

Font Settings

Customize the fonts used in the game:

  • Font family: Choose the font for the interface
  • Board number font: Optionally use a different font for numbers on the board
  • Board number size: Adjust the size of digits (small to extra large)
  • Board number weight: Adjust the thickness of digits (thin to bold)

Reset Settings

In the Danger Zone, you can reset all settings to their default values. This cannot be undone, so use with caution.
